It's the threefold adventure of knowing God intimately through His Word and your experiences with Him, knowing your true self through the work of the Holy Spirit, and then making Jesus and His love known to the world. ABOUT US: DANICA CHILDS is a Spiritual Director with a MA in Spiritual Formation/Soul Care from Talbot Seminary and a MA in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Her sister AUTUMN is a storyteller passionate about the spiritual gifts and creating with the Holy Spirit. We’re sisters who've spent a combined forty years in various forms of ministry, including co-planting a church in Hollywood with other families, where we served in a variety of leadership roles for around a decade. Later we began THE AUDACIOUS ADVENTURE as a Los Angeles based ministry in 2016. We daily pursue creative, artistic, messy, and joyful lives of adventure in Southern California with our family and friends!

Do YOU Speak in TONGUES? I Do, But My Sister Doesn't! Let's Discuss! (Spiritual Gifts Part 3)
So, do YOU speak in tongues? If not, are you AT ALL curious about this spiritual gift? Do you WANT the gift of tongues? Or are you LEERY of the whole idea? Well, on today's episode, we define what the gift of tongues is, what the Bible says about it, what different church denominations say about it -- and what WE say about it! And, yes indeed, ONE of us has the gift of tongues and one of us is still pursuing it. We discuss what it's like to want a gift that others have BUT you DON'T -- and what it's like to have a gift that you don't know if you even REALLY want!
This episode ran long (because we just love to babble on and on!) so we broke it into two parts. Although we reveal the experiences of our getting (or NOT getting) tongues in the NEXT episode (EP 21), there are clues in this one about which of us have the gift if you listen closely, because we accidently let it slip! LOL! Also, in Part Two, we dive deeper into what the gift is for and how it powerfully impacts not only the believer and the church, but everyone in our lives -- and basically, the entire world.
