It's the threefold adventure of knowing God intimately through His Word and your experiences with Him, knowing your true self through the work of the Holy Spirit, and then making Jesus and His love known to the world. ABOUT US: DANICA CHILDS is a Spiritual Director with a MA in Spiritual Formation/Soul Care from Talbot Seminary and a MA in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Her sister AUTUMN is a storyteller passionate about the spiritual gifts and creating with the Holy Spirit. We’re sisters who've spent a combined forty years in various forms of ministry, including co-planting a church in Hollywood with other families, where we served in a variety of leadership roles for around a decade. Later we began THE AUDACIOUS ADVENTURE as a Los Angeles based ministry in 2016. We daily pursue creative, artistic, messy, and joyful lives of adventure in Southern California with our family and friends!

So, what do YOU think of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit? Like being Slain in the Spirit, Drunk in the Spirit, shaking, laughing, or feeling like a whole tub of hot lava is pouring over you...? What's the point? Do they serve a purpose? Well, we used to be mighty wary of manifestations for most of our lives – that is, until our adventure with the Holy Spirit began. Then we finally stopped judging and started discerning – and finally began RECEIVING. In today’s episode, we explore examples of manifestations in our lives, in the Bible, and in church history – for example, did you know that old timers John Wesley and D. L. Moody were both Slain in the Spirit? And many men and women in Wesley's circle of Christian friends experienced a variety of manifestations, including being drunk and laughing in the Spirit? Join us as we dig deep into the more experiential side of our faith and share our often humorous experiences and thoughts about it all. We also cover how to discern what is a manifestation from the Holy Spirit and what isn't. And what happens to us when we are FILLED to OVERFLOWING with the Spirit. Hopefully, after this episode you will feel the FREEDOM and JOY of the Lord and be open to whatever the Holy Spirit wants to give YOU!
